# Accent color

The **accent color** is a native Ghost setting used to highlight key elements across your site, including buttons, links, the portal, recommendations, comments, and editor cards.

**Default accent colors**: 

* Light: #A2674C
* Sepia: #A56A3A
* Breeze: #4C7FA8
* Dark: #A2674C

### Step-by-step:

Go to the "**Design & branding**" settings in Ghost Admin and click "**Customize**".

Under "**Accent color**", click the color picker and choose a new color.

Click "**Save**" to apply the changes.

In this theme, the accent color is applied to buttons, links, and other interface elements. This option is available when using the **Light** **and** **Dark** [color schemes](/docs/breeze/customization/site-wide/color-scheme.md).
