# Icon

The **Publication icon** is a built-in Ghost feature used to visually identify your site. It appears in the portal, browser tab (*favicon*), and search results.

By default, Ghost shows a generic icon, but you can upload your own to personalize your site.

### Step-by-step:

Go to the "**Design & branding**" settings in Ghost Admin and click "**Customize**".

Under "**Publication icon**", click "**Upload icon**" and select your file.
