# Subscribe

This section it allows you to display a personalized message that encourages visitors to engage with your content and subscribe on your website.

You can customize the **Title**, **Description**, and **Background image** fields to create a personalized subscribe experience.

Follow the steps below to access the Hero settings:

### Access Ghost Admin

* Log in to your Ghost Admin at `yoursite.com/ghost`

### Navigate to Design Settings

* Go to **Settings** > **Site** > **Design & branding** `yoursite.com/ghost/#/settings/design`
* Click the **"Customize"** button to open the theme editor.

### Open Theme Settings

* Locate the **Subscribe section** options under the **Homepage** section.

## Available Options

* **Title** — The main heading text. *Default:* Join the \[site title]
* **Description** — A short message that appears below the title. *Default:* Don’t miss out on the latest news. Sign up now to get access to the library of members-only posts.
* **Background** — Background image
* **Form** - Action default for `#/portal/signup`

The Subscribe section will be hidden if the Portal is disabled, if the member is logged in, or if the "invite only" option is configured.
