# Icon

The **Publication icon** is a built-in Ghost feature that helps visually identify your site. It appears in places like the portal, browser tab (*favicon*), and search results.

By default, Ghost shows a generic icon, but you can upload your own to personalize your site.

To upload or change the icon image:

#### Access Ghost Admin

* Log in to your Ghost Admin at `yoursite.com/ghost`

#### Navigate to Design & Branding

* Go to **Settings** > **Site** > **Design & branding** `yoursite.com/ghost/#/settings/design`
* Click the **"Customize"** button to open the editor.

#### Upload Your Icon

* Under **Publication icon**, click **"Upload icon"** and select your file.

#### Save Changes

* Click **"Save"** to apply your icon to the site.
