Dark mode

The theme supports both Dark Mode and Automatic Dark Mode. This feature is enabled by default and works with all available color schemes except the Dark option.

Follow the steps below to access the dark mode setting:

Access Ghost Admin

• Log in to your Ghost Admin at yoursite.com/ghost

Navigate to Design Settings

• Go to Settings > Site > Design & branding yoursite.com/ghost/#/settings/design

• Click the "Customize" button to open the theme editor.

Open Theme Settings

• Locate the Enable dark mode toggle under the Site wide section.

Save Changes

• Click "Save" to apply your changes to the site.

A dark mode switch appears in the navbar, sidebar (mobile view) and footer, allowing visitors to manually toggle between light and dark modes. When the Dark color scheme is selected, dark mode remains active by default and the switch is hidden. The theme stores each visitor’s preference in local storage, keeping their choice for future visits.

Automatic Dark Mode

If a visitor hasn’t used the dark mode switch, the theme automatically follows the system appearance setting of their device or browser. Once a visitor toggles manually, that preference overrides the system setting.
