# Navigation

The theme supports two types of navigation: **primary navigation** in the site header and **secondary navigation** in the footer, and for displaying social media buttons. Both can be managed from the Ghost Admin.

### Primary Navigation

The primary navigation appears in the header and supports a list of links plus one optional dropdown.

#### Step-by-step:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Go to the "**Navigation**" settings in Ghost Admin and click "**Customize**".
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Add, reorder, or remove menu items using a label and URL.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Dropdown menu**

1. Add an item with the URL set to `###`.
2. In the label field, you can use `@` to show a dots icon (•••) or write something like ***"More"***.
3. All items added after this one will appear inside the dropdown.
   {% endstep %}

{% step %}
Click "**Save**" to apply your changes.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Secondary Navigation

The secondary navigation appears in the footer and is also used for social media links. Support for 30+ social media links.

#### Step-by-step:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Go to the "**Navigation**" settings in Ghost Admin and click "**Customize**".
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
In the Secondary section, add, edit, reorder, or remove items using a label and URL.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Navigation title**

1. Add the first item with the URL set to `###` and add the desired label.
   {% endstep %}

{% step %}

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://pinathemes.gitbook.io/docs/wind/basic-settings/navigation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
